GUMBO provides a forum for our stakeholders to meet with local, state and federal policy makers to share concerns and provide suggestions on solving problems that confront our area. Our goal is to be a united force working with these governmental leaders to develop policies that will provide for the future growth and development of south Baldwin County. GUMBO members meet on a frequent basis with the mayors of Gulf Shores, Orange Beach and Foley and with the members of the Baldwin County Commission. Continuous contact with members of our local legislative delegation helps facilitate and focus interaction with leaders in Montgomery, including the governor and members of her cabinet, such as the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources and the Department of Transportation.

Working together and through our full-time lobbyist, GUMBO provides a forum for business leaders throughout Baldwin County to communicate effectively with policy makers who make decisions that impact the future growth and development of our area and our bottom lines.
